Our current shop hours are always listed on our Visit page and Instagram. Because we're a small shop, hours may occasionally shift for markets, events or holidays—we recommend checking Instagram for special announcements before making a special trip.

Not quite. Vintage is at the heart of ORTENSE, but you'll also find secondhand pieces, handmade goods from independent makers and a small selection of new goods we genuinely love. Everything is chosen intentionally.

Not our vintage—at least for now. Vintage is one-of-a-kind, and keeping an online inventory in sync with the shop can be tricky. We’d much rather have you come see what’s waiting for you in person.

Yes. Every piece is inspected before it hits the floor, and items are cleaned or refreshed when appropriate. Vintage has lived a life, though, so some pieces may show signs of age and wear. We consider that part of their history—and we'll always disclose significant flaws.

We don't. Vintage is limited, often one-of-a-kind, and sometimes goes fast. To keep things fair, everything is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Maybe! We buy selectively based on age, condition, quality and what the shop needs at the moment. Visit our Services page for information about what we're looking for and how to submit pieces for consideration.

Because most of what we sell is vintage, secondhand, or one-of-a-kind, all sales are final. We encourage you to try things on, inspect pieces and ask us anything before purchasing—we're happy to help.
